KOMBU STORY
Kombu is the Japanese word for kelp, a specific type of seaweed only found in several places around the world. In Japan, kombu is mainly used as a vital source of Umami (“the fifth taste”) in almost all of the traditional Japanese cuisine and has been consumed as such for over 1,000 years. The kombu is harvested and processed in a very sanitary manner using traditional techniques that help to preserve all of the minerals and vitamins that it contains. Kombu is very rich in iodine and also has a high content of calcium, vitamin B2 and more. The benefits you will get by absorbing it through your skin are numerous; toning, soothing, moisturizing and anti-aging properties will rejuvenate and cleanse your skin. And it is perfect for all skin types.

Therefore, upon learning all of these benefits that you can gain from this “king of seaweeds,” we decided to work closely with kombu farmers to learn everything we could about preserving the self-regenerating properties of kombu. And after years of development, we now have a kombu extract that will work wonders on every skin type.
WHAT IS KOMBU

We as a company believe we can play an important role in keeping the very natural and traditional way of harvesting, washing and processing, alive and well without using chemicals or GMO. Furthermore, we are investing in the continued research and development into new methods of planting wild kombu seeds, in order to increase the number of kombu forests to keep our oceans clean. Our objective is to close the circle in our consumption and give more than what we take to create zero waste so that we can continue to benefit from the amazing self-regenerating forces of mother nature.
